Refund Policy

For Multiple-weeks session and Camp Programs (For registrations handled by Bionerds)

  1. If we do not have enough children to attend a session or there is a cancellation due to other reasons from Bionerds, an automatic full refund will be given. You will be notified several days before the first class starts.
  2. A refund must be requested in writing via email or mail.
  3. A refund requested before the first class starts will be deducted $15 administration fee.
  4. After the first class, if you or your child does not wish to continue, a prorated refund minus the material fee and $15 administration will be given.
  5. No class tuition nor material fee will be refunded after attending the second class.
  6. Due to the nature of the experiments and materials used in the class, there will be no prorated refund nor make up for missing class/absences.
  7. A refund requested due to a medical issue anytime during a session will be given when accompanied by a doctor’s note. The refund will be prorated, also minus the material fee and $15 administration fee.
  8. For duplicate or multiple session enrollment refunds, they will be subjected to a $15 administration fee plus the material fee (if any) per session.
  9. The $15 administration fee will be waived if the parent requested the refund to be a credit for a future class instead.  The credit can only be applied to the Bionerds-sponsored programs, not the ones sponsored by other cities or organizations.

 

For After-School and Summer Camp Programs (For registrations handled by non-Bionerds facilities)

  1. Please refer to the city’s or organization’s class/camp fee refund policy on their website.
  2. After the first class, if you or your child does not wish to continue, there is no refund on the material fee due to the nature of some materials used in the class.

 

For In-Class or Private Event/Party Programs

  1. In a case of event cancellation, a refund requested at least seven days before the event date will lose half of the deposit.  An honorarium fee is considered a deposit.
  2. A cancellation refund requested less than seven days before the event date will lose all of the deposit.
  3. Event rescheduling requested at least seven days before the event date will be able to use the full deposit amount for the next event. If the reschedule date is requested less than seven days before the event date, $50 extra will be charged.

 

For an Individual Class Programs:

  1. If we do not have enough children to attend the class or there is a cancellation due to other reasons from Bionerds, an automatic full refund will be given.  You will be notified several days before the first class starts.
  2. A refund must be requested in writing via email or mail.
  3. A refund requested at least seven days before the class starts will be deducted $10 administration fee.
  4. A refund requested less than seven days before the class starts will be deducted $15 for administration and material fee.
  5. No class tuition or material fee will be refunded after attending the class.

 

For Charter-School funded classes:

  1. The Purchase Order (PO) of the Charter school fund must be issued before the first day of class.   There’s no guarantee of spot for the child in class without the PO copy by the first day.
  2. If we do not have enough children to attend the class or there is a cancellation due to other reasons from Bionerds, we will not invoice the charter fund issued to Bionerds.
  3. A refund must be requested in writing via email or mail.
  4. If the fund is not enough to pay the whole class fee, the parent or guardian is responsible to pay the session fee out of pocket.
  5. Before the first class starts, if the parent wishes to cancel the class, there will be $15 administration fee applied to the refund.
  6. After the second class, if you or your child does not wish to continue, the parent or guardian is responsible to pay the rest of the session fee out of pocket.  The rest of the fee will be waived if there’s medical or other urgent matter accompanied by a doctor’s note or other proof.

 

For Field Trips (NOT part of Summer Camps):

  1. If we do not have enough children to attend the field trip or there is a cancellation due to other reasons from Bionerds, an automatic full refund will be given.  You will be notified several days before the field trip day.
  2. A refund must be requested in writing via email or mail.
  3. A refund requested at least seven days before the field trip will be deducted 10% for administration fee.
  4. A refund requested less than seven days before the field trip day will be deducted 50% for administration fee.

 

For Bionerds Commercial Products

  1. Bionerds commercial products include, but not limited to, T-shirts, tote bags, and hats.
  2. We will accept any return for a full refund (money back or store credit) within 30 days as long as it is still in the pre-purchased or new condition.
  3. Any defect(s) found when receiving the item should be reported. A picture of the defect will be requested before we submit a full refund.
  4. Customers will be responsible for paying the shipping fee (if any) to return the item unless it is determined as a defective item. Once the item is received and pass inspection, we will issue a full refund.
  5. No money back after 30 days of purchase, only store credit will be issued.
