AN IMMERSIVE PROGRAM FOR WILDLIFE AND ECOLOGY ENTHUSIASTS!
We will be continuing our Community Science Program, previously known as Citizen Science next Spring 2024 after a long pandemic pause! In this course, we will be traveling to Oak Canyon Nature Center, Anaheim, CA, to discover how you and your kids can get involved in exciting research projects like bird watching, observing squirrel behaviors, and identifying plants. Join us on this fantastic opportunity to explore the great outdoors while making meaningful contributions to scientific discovery.
WHAT IS COMMUNITY SCIENCE?
Community science is a collaboration between professional scientists and the general public to discover, collect data, and find answers to questions we have in the science community. Our goal is to engage your students with data collection in Orange County, CA, and teach them how to contribute to the world of conversation science. This will be done by collecting data from different field sites and learning about the multiple factors that impact our environment.
